CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Will Not Be Released Until 2014

Unfortunately yes, the sequel to the amazing CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER will be delayed until 2014. I kind of thought that this would happen as Marvel has plenty of properties in their catalog to exploit.

Chris Evans recently passed on the news: "(Marvel & Disney) may wait until 2014 until they release the next Cap. Marvel has a lot of balls in the air, they aren’t going to cannibalize their films."

He went on further to graphically help us grasp what might happen down the road with his contract obligations with the studios - he has 2 more CAP movies to make (total of 3) and 2 more AVENGER type movies (total of 3):

"Out of those six films, if I pop up in one of those [other films], it counts as part of the deal. So if they needed me in a third Cap, and I say, ‘F*%k you, give me $30 million,’ well…they want to avoid that."

LOL - He's a funny guy. I think he has a much better relationship with Marvel than that! :-) However, what that means is that it is doubtful he will make any cameos in any other Marvel character movie as that may count as an appearance in his contract. Regardless, we will be waiting awhile to see he fight solo again. More when I get it...
